Air conditioning systems, known commonly as AC, are one of the most important appliances found in any home or business. AC energy consumption accounts for about 6% of all electricity produced in the U.S! There are several different types of AC systems available, but all systems work by:
Every AC unit contains different components that help keep this process running continuously, ensuring your home or building stays cool as temperatures rise. Cool Image can work on many types of AC systems.

Types Of Air Conditioning Systems
CENTRAL AC SYSTEM
A central AC unit is the most common type of air conditioning system in the U.S. These systems process and create cooled air inside a condensing unit, the big box unit typically found outside or on the roof of a home or building. The cooled air is then circulated through ducts to cool all rooms inside a building.
WINDOW AC SYSTEM
Also known as a window unit, a window AC system is a smaller version of a central AC system, installed in a window or a hole specially designed to fit a window unit. Window AC systems are typically used to cool smaller spaces, like an apartment or a single room.
HEAT PUMP SYSTEM
Heat pumps use electricity to distribute both warm and cool air through a building. During warmer months, a heat pump will use refrigerant to create cooled air and push warmer air outside, keeping your building cool. Heat pumps are very energy efficient, but better suited for milder climates.
PORTABLE AC SYSTEM
Similar to window AC systems, portable AC systems are single units that feature all cooling components inside one small package. Portable AC systems typically use electricity as a power source, making them convenient and easy to move.
EVAPORATIVE COOLERS
Also known as swamp coolers, evaporative cooling systems use water pumps to create cooler air, which is then distributed through a space. Evaporative coolers can be highly energy-efficient but often need more regular maintenance. They are also not suited for humid climates.
The Cool Image team has years of experience working on various AC systems.
